University of Cyberjaya Held Staff and Student Get To Gather Commemorating New Year and Chinese New Year

University of Cyberjaya recently held a Staff and Student Get to Gather on the 20th of January 2023 at University of Cyberjaya’s Grand Hall to celebrate the new year as well as the forthcoming Chinese New Year.

The event which was organised by the Student Affairs Department was held for students and staff members to gather and nurture important relationships while promoting a sense of belonging and community amongst each other.  

The evening started out with musical performances by a violinist and a saxophonist, followed by harmonious singing performances, and dance numbers by local performers, as well as students from the University of Cyberjaya (UoC).  Staff and students were also served light refreshments after the event. 

“This event was organised to allow our community to build connections, network, and wind down before the long, Chinese New Year weekend. As we start a new year, it’s always a great opportunity to reflect on the past year and think about all the things we accomplished, as well as the things we may want to change or improve upon in the new year,” said Y.Bhg. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Shaharuddin Mohd, Deputy Vice Chancellor of UoC.  

The Staff and Student Get to Gather was also attended by the UoC’s Pro Chancellor, Y.Bhg. Tan Sri Dato’ Dr. R. Palan, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Zabidi Azhar Mohd Hussin, deans, and lecturers.  

The event served as a great way for staff and students to catch up, have a good time and gear up for the new year.
